Everybody loves a good laugh and we sure did have a good chuckle here at Spotted Dorking after our April fools prank reached thousands of social media profiles.
The first of April is always a great excuse for a wind up and we took our chance.

We had claimed the Dorking cock was being moved to the recreation ground and hundreds had gathered to watch the move.
Although many people realised very quickly the removal of the Dorking cock was only an April 1st bit of fun a few more serious comments were made clearly showing the upset and fear of the cocks fate if moved.
We can now safely confirm the Dorking iconic Cockerel will not be moved from the A24 roundabout and still stands proudly in its rightful place.
