The Dorking Cockerel is being relocated to its new home this morning.
The reason behind the move is due to the Dorking traffic chaos caused by vehicles slowing down to catch a glimpse of this iconic statue.
The Cockerel is currently making its way to its new home at the recreation ground.
The crowds are already gathering to see the cock travel up the high street and down mill lane to its new home.
In charge of the move is Paul Jackson who said :
‘This is a huge cock that needs to be handled with care’
‘The Erection will also need to be monitored closely’
